This program elevates a select group of those Scholars with comprehensive support, enrichment, and distinction. As a Distinguished Scholar, you’ll join a prestigious cohort committed to academic excellence, personal growth, and purposeful impact. Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholarship
(Established Fall 2008)
Named after Dr. Lewis C. Dowdy, the sixth president and first chancellor of NC A&T State University, and his wife, Elizabeth. Dr. Dowdy led the university for 21 years with a vision of academic excellence and leadership. This scholarship recognizes academic distinction, moral character, and community engagement.
